    Job Description:
    Account Managers are typically early- to mid-career professionals, with demonstrated expertise in communications and marketing. Account Managers lead account teams and client relationships, and provide detailed and comprehensive research, pitching to media, copywriting, and marketing insight. The role is integrated across the agency, and requires excellent internal and external collaboration. This position has the potential to be fully remote for the right candidate, with the expectation of occasional travel to Vermont and client and industry events.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Create and execute PR and communications plans

    • Develop and maintain successful relationships with key media

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client contacts

    • Lead client meetings (virtual and in person)

    • Lead regular and proactive client reporting: weekly, monthly and quarterly

    • Regularly pitch client stories to media and follow-up on story opportunities

    • Draft well-written press releases and compelling content

    • Create targeted media distribution lists

    • Monitor for client media coverage

    • Attend occasional trade shows, sales meetings and in-person media meetings on behalf of clients, with national and potential international travel as required by client needs

    • Participate in active, outdoor press events

    • Share a solid understanding of social media networks and marketing

    • Keep abreast of each client’s industry, competition and media coverage

    Experience You Bring:

    • Two to five years of experience in marketing, PR, brand strategy, and/or journalism

    • Exceptional writing and communication skills

    • Wide ranging consumption of industry and industry-adjacent media (including traditional media, podcasts, and other news)

    • Demonstrated interest (which could include volunteer or internship positions) in the outdoor and active lifestyle industry

    Compensation:
    Account manager salaries range from $55,000-$65,000, depending on experience, in addition to a monthly HRA contribution, dependent care FSA, 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions, and generous PTO.
